WHAT TO EXPECT?
PRE TREATMENT
A numbing cream will be applied prior to micro needle radio frequency treatment to minimise any potential discomfort. There can be a pulling or tingling sensation every time energy is delivered, which will vary according to the depth of tissue and area of the face being treated.
RF microneedling is very well tolerated by almost all patients, regardless of age, gender, and skin type. The sensation is usually described as comfortable with light pressure and a tingling or prickly sensation on the skin. There is usually little to no pain experienced. Numbing cream is also applied prior to treatment to minimise any potential discomfort.
DURING TREATMENT
The treatment itself involves using the microneedling with radiofrequency handpiece in a sequential stamping fashion over the entire face. Depending on the skin condition and the treatment scope this may involve multiple passes, especially over areas of concern, when indicated. There is minimal or no bleeding or needle marks due to the very fine needles used as well as the coagulative effect of the RF application.
POST TREATMENT
