PRE TREATMENT
A numbing cream will be applied prior to treatment to minimise any potential discomfort. There can be a pulling or tingling sensation every time energy is delivered, which will vary according to the depth of tissue and area of the face being treated. RF microneedling is very well tolerated by almost all patients, regardless of age, gender, and skin type. The sensation is usually described as comfortable with light pressure and a tingling or prickly sensation on the skin. There is usually little to no pain experienced. Numbing cream is also applied prior to treatment to minimise any potential discomfort.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
DURING TREATMENT
The treatment itself involves using the RF microneedling handpiece in a sequential stamping fashion over the entire face. Depending on the skin condition and the treatment scope this may involve multiple passes, especially over areas of concern, when indicated. There is minimal or no bleeding or needle marks due to the very fine needles used as well as the coagulative effect of the RF application.

Immediately after the treatment, there may be localised redness or swelling over treated areas. This is normal and usually subsides within minutes to hours. Occasionally some patients may experience pinpoint bleeding during the procedure, but this can be avoid. So long as you consult our doctor.

IMASX typically requires a downtime of 1 to 2 days. However you will be able to resume normal activities after the treatment so long as you keep away from the sun.

It’s normal to have some slight swelling and redness post-treatment, but it should fade within a few hours. Each procedure will take half an hour and will be done with anesthetic to make the process easier and more convenient.
